 High Quality Wave Radar

Compact, robust and easy to install

Wave measurement instruments are often seen in the form of a wave buoy, which requires a labour-intensive installation and yearly maintenance. This method of wave measurement is very accurate, but it is also a very time and money consuming way of measuring the direction and height of waves. Radac, a Netherlands based company, has therefore developed a radar system that works just as well as traditional instruments, such as a wave buoy, but without the installation and maintenance costs or the risk of braking away. This system is provided by Radac and will change the way wave measurement instruments are being developed and deployed.

Easily deployable wave measurement instruments

As it is the case with any form of technological development, the next generation of wave measurement instruments needs to be user friendly and easily deployable in order to be useful for companies and governments. And that is exactly what the WaveGuide radar system brings to the table. The system doesn’t have any moving parts which makes maintenance almost non-existent. Other than a wave buoy, it can be mounted at a fixed location, which makes the installation much easier than the installation of a wave buoy. For wave measurement, the WaveGuide system is very accurate and it can operate in all weather conditions.
